I'm a writer.
Which is like saying that I'm an award-winning playwright
whose work has been published and produced more than
100 times in the US and UK since 2004.
Or like saying that for 10 years I wrote articles for
a pair of industry trade magazines and picked up awards
in the ASBPE and ASAE competitions for technical and
informational articles.
Or like saying that I've been reviewing ambient &
electronic music since 2004 as Hypnagogue. I've got well
over 500 reviews under my belt and, having gained the
respect of these genres' artist communities,
the CDs just
keep coming. The site currently averages more than
1,500 page views each month.
(Which ties into the bi-weekly podcast I've been producing
and airing since 2009. I have a subscriber base of about
100 dedicated listeners, and each episode has been
downloaded an average of 175 times--currently more than
15,000 downloads in total.)
Or like saying I have 7 years of experience as a marketing
copywriter for a pair of major retail brands. From catalogs
and signage to e-mails and SEO copy, if you've seen anything
from these companies since 2005, chances are I had a hand
in it. I also proofread and edit.
Or like saying that I've published fiction in small press
magazines and written an ongoing column for a local newspaper.
Now and then, like the majority of writers trying to get noticed out
there in the big, wide world, I blog.
All of which is like saying . . .
